Lake County has some of the ‘BEST’ fishing in the world.  The famous Pere Marquette River flows through our county.  Each year, people from around the world come to fish the PM for salmon, steelhead and trout.  Even author, Earnest Hemingway, wrote about his fishing days on the Pere Marquette as a young boy.  Today, experienced guides offer fly-fishing expeditions during the Spring and Fall “runs”.  Other rivers such as the Baldwin, Manistee, and the Pine challenge fisherman too.  Our many registered trout streams offer opportunities for more success to the fisherman as our inland-lakes support walleye, pan fish, bass and a variety of other fresh fish species.

Come bring your tackle box………the fishing is excellent here!
